Who’s Who in Black Atlanta 2006

Chiquita Board provides leadership, direction and management to the Get Checking^TM educators, coordinates the schedule to deliver financial education, markets the program to financial institutions and community based organizations, and is the former National Education Director for Get Checking. Additionally, she’s a motivational speaker, Journey Talk Show Host, Educator, Grant Writer, and provides technical assistance to small business/non-profit organizations. She works or has worked with the following organizations Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, Marietta Housing Authority, Whitefoord, P.R.O.C.E.E.D., DeKalb Drug Court, and Living Water Ministries International, Inc.

Board is committed to excellence and provides leadership to the Get Checking Advisory Council, Georgia Consortium for Personal Financial Literacy, Atlanta Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce, and DeKalb First Accounts Collaborative. Recently, she was featured in Who’s Who in Black Atlanta Pink Pages 2006 publication. She has delivered numerous presentations on start up programs, best practices, fund development, and other asset building topics for low to moderate income families. She is the recipient of numerous awards and accolades, but remains behind the scenes to encourage consumers to learn more about their personal finances and how to acquire wealth. Chiquita is considered a role model for people of all ages and loves working with young people on financial education. She is currently putting the finishing touches on a soon to be published book along with several exciting media projects.
